On November 05, 2021, as part of the 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan`s Independence, an interregional online competition of presentations of students and undergraduates on the topic «Together against Corruption» was held at the Department of Jurisprudence of the Institute of History and Law of Abai KazNPU.
The event was attended by law, psychology, basic law and economics, elementary education and ICT and applied computer science students and master students from the Atyrau State University named after H. Dosmukhamedov, North Kazakhstan University named after M. Kozybayev, Almaty Management University (Almau), Almaty branch of St. Petersburg Humanitarian University of Trade Unions, Abai KazNPU, Turan University, Almaty Academy of Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after M. Yesbulatov and Kazakh National Agrarian Research University. The problems of prevention of corruption offences in Kazakhstan and worldwide, the formation of anti-corruption culture as a factor for the development of the rule of law, and psychological aspects of corruption were discussed. Special attention was paid to the question of why brain drain occurs abroad, and whether it is related to corruption.
The event was led by Head of the Department B.M. Koshpenbetov and speakers associated professors A.M. Seralieva, J.B. Shayakhmetova and N.B. Mynbaeva, senior lecturer A.N. Kazieva, managing director of the Sapargaliev Institute E.A. Zhumagulov, associate professor Z.S. Karakulova.
The finalists of the competition received diplomas.
